You know what truly breaks my heart. Women. Not the ones making it easier for men to assault us. But the ones turning away because it hurts so much. Or the ones turning toward because it hurts so much.
Men–notice how many of us have been hurt in this way. (How many of you have been abused as children? Imagine never aging into safety!)
We have been hurting for so long. Ignored. Dismissed. Derided.
It’s not that all men act so criminally.
It’s that we allow them those men to continue.
Particularly with girls.
HAVE OUR BACKS.
