Participant feedback….

It’s more than a workout–it’s spiritual grounding and a chance to experience true freedom. It’s exactly what you need each and every moment.

I feel lighter and uplifted!

I love feeling the music through my body.

It was easy to be free.  I remembered that I love to exercise.  I remembered that I do have flexibility.  I moved within and out.

I liked how the class flowed– how we had time to move to ourselves and with  others.

I find myself dancing and moving more throughout the week.

I have been feeling more in touch with my body’s needs as far as stretching, flexibility, mindfullness, and self-appreciation.

Let Your Yoga Dance helps me to come back into myself. Since I spend a lot of time leading other people and directing activities, I really appreciate the chance to support my very important intention of settling into myself.

Very relaxing, very healing, very conducive to epiphany.

SpRiNg Let YOUR Yoga DANCE Session 411

Dear SpRiNg Circle,

I look forward to sharing the dance with you on Thursday, April 27 in the Outback (gym) at Marlboro Elementary School on Route 9.

Walk down the path through the playground to access the gym at the door under the overhang. (The door to access the restroom is opposite the gym building.)

Bring a mat (or mat substitute) and a water bottle, and dress comfortably to move. (Layers work well, especially in the gym which can run cool even on warm days. Socks feel good too.)

Dance barefoot (or with clean, non-marking soles.)

Arrive just before 5:30 pm to settle in before we open our time together.

We open the session with the New Moon–a perfect time for new beginnings, and seeding desires, and taking it slow. It’s an earthy moon too which lends itself to this week’s chakra focus: earth, feet, roots, groundedness. We’ll move through all 7 chakras at each gathering—but add deepened attention to a single chakra as we work our way from the 1st to the 7th (see schedule below.)

This first gathering comes just before Beltane–the ancient fertility festival–mid-way point between the Spring Equinox & Summer Solstice–a potent aperture for womanly magic & manifestation.

If you’re new to the dance, prepare to be put at ease by the warm circle, the gentle guidance and the moving music, as well as the chakra container fashion to soothe, engage and inspire you.

If you’re a returning dancer, thank you for the gift of your ongoing devotion to Let YOUR Yoga DANCE, and wish me luck as I shake off my winter hermitage and become a spinner of music & movement again.

Yours in the dance,
Kelly
April 2017

Note: The session rate is $123.45 come opening night. (If you’re a returning dancer, and haven’t made your payment yet, I’ll honor the pre-pay rate of $111.11.)

Reminder:  Dancers will receive access to the online Chakra Rewewal Journey following any missed gatherings.  (Online participants are welcome to attend a single dance of their choice.) Click here to find out more.

Dance Toward the Longest Night

Focus
“The connections between and among women are the most feared, the most problematic and the most potentially transforming on the planet.”
~ Adrienne Rich

The days are shrinking.
The nights are growing longer.
The time to cultivate the light is upon us.
Poetry. Laughter. Communion.
A resilient heart.
Silence. Prayer. Surrender.

It’s all there in the dance.

Each gathering is delicately crafted through the chakras to nourish body, mind & soul—within a wide-range of music, gently-guided movement & meditative play.

A dance party. An exercise class. A women’s gathering. A personal pilgrimage.
Find what you need. Help shape it with others.

This unique & alchemical practice (requiring absolutely no skill or experience) lends greater wellbeing & joy in your day to day, particularly as our days shorten.

Opening at the end of October when the dark of the moon is upon us
and continuing into December as the full moon lights our way to the Winter Solstice…

These 75+ minute gatherings for women are held in the community space
at Marlboro Elementary School on Route 9 in Marlboro VT.

Dance barefoot. Dress to move. Bring a mat (or mat substitute.)

Tuesdays 5:30 pm, October 25th through December 20th, 2016.

Autumn YogaDANCE in New England

Klimt (visipix.com)

“The most ravishing experience you can have is of the mysterious, of living in consecrated curiosity, with the symphony of the universe playing through you and the still point laying claim to the heart.”

Jennifer Louden

Fall is associated with the watery, sensual Second Chakra, located in the hip region. This is our center of creativity, and Autumn is the perfect time to rediscover our relationship with the juicy flow of our own lives.

Each YogaDANCE class moves through chakras, from the 1st to the 7th, with music and movement to connect you with these vital energy centers.

On the outside, it looks like a dance party–with a new soundtrack each week to inspire RELEASE in everyBODY (skill & experience irrelevant)–World, Rock, Funk, Classics, Blues & more.

The guidance is simple, the atmosphere low-key, and the energy supportive & FUN.

We warm up the body, we strengthen it, we energize it with 20+minutes of aerobic activity (at our own pace) and then we stretch it and rest it–discovering a depth of presence (and clarity) that is precious in our full lives.
