About Kelly (makeover in process)

As a lifelong educator, I’m passionate about self expression–in service.

My first career was in the hospitality industry as a floor manager, followed by two+ decades in and around education.

In addition to classroom teacher, mentor, tutor, coordinator and non-profit director, I have served as a life coach, a home & family workshop leader and a group facilitator.

For some years, I helped direct and facilitate the annual meeting of the worldwide Experiment in International Living. I continue to represent this NGO at the United Nations and particularly at the annual Commission on the Status of Women each spring.

Alongside this work, I studied to become a yoga and yogadance instructor. I went on to serve as adjunct faculty and as an assistant for teacher trainings.

Over the past decade, I’ve served as a program assistant to leading presenters at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health  including Tara Brach, Dani Shapiro, Joan Borysenko, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Julia Cameron, Robert Thurman, and Narrative Medicine and Healing programs with NM founder Rita Charon and Carole Gilligan, publicist Lisa Weinert and editor Jamia Wilson.

I am currently studying QiGong for Women while working on a memoir. Memoir continues to be a lifetime practice. I have authored thousands of memoir pieces and published close to a hundred in local, regional and widespread publications. The challenges of my past and present have been understood, integrated and illuminated through the process of writing.
